"Im Ready to Fn Butt F this Party"

This T shirt refers to the below scene from East Bound and Down. Of course, its littered with F bombs and purely awesome. The line is at 2:25 but the whole clip is worth watching.

Sunday Night with Kenny Powers or Hugh Jackman? Hmmmm, Fire it Up Kenny!
"Lets Pump Some Iron, Bitches"
Episode 2 of Eastbound and Down still fired the A game funny heat last night on HBO and the do not delete function on my TIVO season pass is permanently entrenched.
Kenny Powers' arrogant ego is stroked with him landing a celebrity appearance gig at a car dealership, who's owner is played by Will Ferrell.
Kenny eventually melts down again and ends up at a high school dance, rolled out on X.
Here are 2 clips from Videogum:
The car gig spurred my favorite Powers one liner of the show: "I'm back in the spotlight, right where I belong."
Kenny turns 200 bucks into 15 notes.
Videogum has another video and a nice recap.

Kenny Powers Brings the Comedic Heat
Kenny Powers is my new favorite TV character. Check out the opening scene from HBO's new comedy, "Eastbound and Down." If stuck at your work cubicle, use headphones.
“Sometimes when you come with the thunder, you get lost in the storm.”
Here are two more hilarious scenes from the debut episode.
Go read this review of the brilliant new comedy at Videogum.

Leitch Entered the Bissinger Saw
(VIDEO DOWN BELOW)
To be honest to my readers, I met Deadspin's founder Will Leitch a few months ago on his book tour. He was insightful, funny, and overall, a very cool guy. We shared some beers and heaters. I read Deadspin but not faithfully everyday.
I just finished watching this HBO Bob Costas show on Sports Media where Leitch was on a panel with Browns WR Braylon Edwards and writer Buzz Bissinger, who penned the literary sports classic novel, "Friday Night Lights."
Costas starts off with a question to Leitch about the negative tone of sports blogs. Leitch refutes that there is nothing different on sports blogs that humans do not spout through spoken word in their normal daily lives.
Buzz begins the panel discourse with the following pompous comment toward Leitch that says all you need to know about Bissinger and his true intentions for appearing on this show.
"I want to interject that I think you are full of shit."
How do you have a reasonable discussion when a man starts the conversation with this low barb?
Bissinger continued to use profanity towards Will on several occasions and spewed the same old tired characterizations of all sports bloggers, which that they are idiots who can not write.
Leitch rose above Bissinger's bait of petty personal attacks and articulated his points quite well. Leitch is pretty in tuned to the role of sports blogs and fans. Deadspin's popularity and success is example enough.
Plus, Will correctly mentions that running a blog is hard Fn work and some bloggers (ME) do it as a hobby.
Costas and Bissinger seemed bizarrely confused as to the difference between the words of commenters and an author of a blog post.
Later, Costas raved about the need for the sports journalism profession and listed Woodward and Bernstein as an example. This analogy is just laughable in written word as it was on first Television consumption.
Bissinger closed the show by calling Leitch, "Jimmy Olson on percocet," and blamed his blog for the future dumbing down of America.
Yeah, it was a jaw dropping segment. Bissinger looked like a cranky old man with a serious axe to grind.
I could get all worked up at Bissinger and respond to his classless attacks on sports bloggers, however, why bother?
If people do not like Mac G's World, they can stop reading or click on somewhere else. It is that simple. "Blowhardinger" seems to miss this crucial point and is too busy having a corollary ("40 YEARS in this Business!") over lame dick jokes by commenters while hypocritically cussing up a storm himself on live TV.
I thought Andy Rooney was the face of the out of date, crusty media white man in media but Buzz Dickinger now has that notorious smug crown.
Gotta jam as it is time to take the NBC show "Friday Night Light's" off my NetFlix que.
Once I can locate some video, I will post it.
Blowhardinger fallout is slowing coming in and predictably, bloggers see the same senile old man.

9/11 Conspiracy Crackpots
Listen, I do not completely trust the government and I value individual rights of the person over the rights of the state.
Nor do I believe 3/4 of the hate propaganda spewed on a daily basis from this Bush administration.
I still respect the speech rights and ability to protest of American citizens but these 9/11 conspiracy believers are completely insane.
Bush and Cheney are proven bully's who are about to start their third middle east war, which one could argue displays their indifference to the tragic loss of human life.
However, our government did not blow up the Pentagon or the World Trade Center. Everyone saw the planes and this government is not that sinister. Any suggestion of this twisted behavior is pointless.
Our dollar is at record low levels, the health care system is in dire need of reform, So Cal is up in flames, the national guard is completely gutted, our budget deficit is out of control, the immigrant issue has been completely ignored by our national political leaders, the looming social security crisis is nowhere near solved, and our reliance on a destined to be extinct fossil fuel of foreign oil continues to drive our broken foreign policy.
Turkey is about to take drop bombs on the Kurds and Pakistan is on the brink of upheaval. We are military occupiers in two countries, with no end in sight. Osama Bin Laden is still alive (HOW!) and keeps making tapes.
This country has MUCH MORE things to worry about than crackpot schemes about how our government was in cohorts with 9/11 hijackers. Of course this does not stop these nut balls from speaking out at a live taping of the Bill Maher Show. Check it Out. I heart HBO's ability to drop F bombs.

Big Love with Bill's Libido

My new favorite show is Big Love on HBO. I missed the first season and just started watching this past season. It is great. People focus on the polygamist of the main character, Bill Henrickson, but the show is full of great acting, high drama, sweet writing and fluid story lines.
On last week's episode, Bill feel asleep on accident in the basement couch while being up late doing work and he was awoken to his 3 wives all up in his face. I thought one emotional chick nagging was bad enough. Poor Guy.
He had missed one of their nights to hang out and they were upset. He rotates every 2 nights the time he spends with each wife. Later, Bill proposes a night off a week. His suggestion did got over too well with his original wife Barbara and she kicked him out of bed one night to the couch after an argument.
When a normal man gets banished to the couch, his reward is a night of restless sleep and maybe highlighted by a soft skinamax production.
What does any good polygamist do in that situation? Go over to the hottest wife's house, Margene, mow her box and pin her naked on to the window! Maybe this no coffee and booze mormon stuff could work out after all!
His second wife, Nicki, witnesses Bill's 69 session and she is flabbergasted that Margene would make him do that. This later leads to Bill trying to go down on her but Margene refuses becuase she likes to see his face and instead she just hops on for another holy spirit ride! Mac G needs Bill's libido, he is never out of bullets!
There are various fascinating story lines. Here is a recap of last week's episode from the best blog on the tubes, The House Next Door.
Here are 2 other fans takes on the show.
Big Love Fan
Big Love Fan II
Marge is played by actress Ginnifer Goodwin. She is GREAT and SMOKING HOT. Her hotness came down once I found out she was dating horrible Dbag actor, Kris Klein. Katie Holmes dumped Klein to wed nut job Cruise so maybe he is looking for a look alike. Their looks are strikingly similar.
NetFlix season one or get Season 2 on Demand. Check it out, Monday Nights, 9 eastern on HBO.
