Here are some video Clips of fight between Nyjer Morgan and the Florida Marlins that I put together from the local MASN broadcast. Nyjer is out of control with his WWE antics and season long bad base running but no way he deserves to be thrown at twice in one game because he stole 2 bases when his team was down 11 in the 4th inning. That is just as bush league as anything Morgan did to the Marlins.

My weekend was spent at Nationals Park watching the Nats get swept by the Champs. Go read about this picture and rooting for this club is a constant punch in the gut. I will have more about this weekend as I figured its well past time that I actually write again.

Night at Nats Park Part Two

I figured my pictorial diary of the Nats walk off victory over the Cards needed its own post. I know, who gives a rats ass about my personal life? I barely do and some of my pictures are amusing, at least to me anyway

This is my second Nats bobble head this season as Dimitri Young was my first. Typically, both were injured on their bobble head giveaway night.

The Nats own little green monster is in dead center. The seats are standing room only and it was packed on a gorgeous Thursday evening.

I caught the Cards coach doing a nasal blaster to wake him up for the nightcap of the doubleheader.


The Nats management cruel joke of having Teddy never win one of these lame presidents race continues on. Now, they have him winning the whole time and some unknown creature comes out to tackle him so another President can win.

I always feel bad for the non beer vendors. Tips must suck because families are bigger cheap asses than the drunks.


The Nats pitchers suck so bad that they allowed the Cardinals pitchers to drive in 5 runs in the game. Here is the video of a woman who caught the home run one section over and the Cards pen was trying to get the ball back because it was the pitcher's first home run ever.


She exchanged her ball for one with some scrub relievers autographs. I would have demanded a night out with Pujols at DC's Latin nightspot, Cafe Citron.


An Asian Willie McGee was trying to broker the deal.


This guy looked in the mirror and said, "Im breaking out the Aikman jersey for the Nats/Cards game tonight." Wearing an Aikman jersey in Southeast DC is not a wise decision and he must have the same brain injuries as Troy.

The Red Loft is a sick, sick bar. I just wished they kept serving past the 7th inning.

The Nats annoying in game MC, Clint. I can not express how much I loathe this Ryan Seacrest/Justin Timberlake wannabee. The best part is that every game I hear random fans rip him and the commenters on the Nats blogs are even more vicious than me.


Tshirt toss is a sure fire way to get lazy fans out of their seat. Nothing says Americans are trained Lemmings like free Ts.


I am sure she spray tans Clint while he pre game gels up his hair. I was going to add cheap sexual innuendo but I am feeling chipper on a Friday.

Night at the Nats Park

Midway during last night's Cards/Nats game, I texted some buddies the following quip about Nats RF Elijah Dukes, who was peppering line drives in each of his first 3 at bats: "Dukes is hitting ropes, at least its not women."

Who knew I was foreshadowing the Walk Off Ending? Killer.

I had left the game much earlier and missed the bomb. It is the price you pay when you take a female to a game, who is focused on getting up for work the next day. I wanted to watch the WWE, I mean, NBA finals last night anyway. I swear Kobe and Pierce conspired with Vince McMahon to create the drama.

Kobe kept shooting horrible contested fade aways and Pierce was carried off the court, only to return 5 minutes later. Of course Pierce is "miraculously" healthy enough to hit 2 big three balls in the 4th.

I have not seen the coverage yet but I am sure Willis Reed references are littered all over the predictable pages of sports scribes.

I was able to watch Dukes Walk Off Live from my couch and I will recap my night at the park with pictures in a little bit. Maybe I will talk about the NBA game too. I think the Lakers win out from here.

New Nats Stadium

I am about to hit up regular season game 2 of the new Washington Nationals park with my partial season tickets which are located 4th row from the wall in dead left.

Nats host the Marlins and I am pumped to see a DC baseball game in an actual real stadium. Temps are expected in the 40s so my tab at the bar beyond center field called the Red Loft is already running. Im out! GO Nats and KU!

Two Curly W's and a Goose Egg

I was flying back to the Nation's Capitol on Sunday night during the Nat's season opener and first regular season MLB game ever at the new stadium.

Here is an example of the text messages blasted my way when I landed.
"New stadium looks awesome"
"Bush got served sum boos!"
"Bar in center is sweet"
"O's released Jay Gibbons, go nats"
"Guzman gets 1st hit @stadium, INSANITY!"

There were several other mundane inquisitive texts but you get the point as fans were excited for Nats baseball. Seriously? Pinch Me because I'm a drunk Irish!

By the time I reached my pad and turned on the game for the score, Ryan Zimmerman's sick walk off was already completed. The bros at Mister Irrelevant have the cool video.

The Nats followed up the dramatic win with a slug fest victory in Philly on Monday. Does this mean what I think it means? OH YES, 2-0, MLB leaders!

This is the first time the Nats have been above .500 since October 1, 2005, when a loss to the Phillies dropped them to 81-80.

I am sure the nAAAts will come back at some point but hey, spring is an optimistic time. Do I dare say 3-0?

Picture of the Day

Last season Nats pitcher Mike Bacsik gave up Bonds record home run and he is not embarrassed by this notorious feat but actually relishing in his "fame." Check out how he was signing baseballs in Spring Training.


I like Bacsik's sense of humor and humility. Although it seems very cheesey to be wanting to pimp yourself out for giving up a HR.

I guess when you give up 141 hits, 26 HRs in 118 innings, sporting a fat 5.11 ERA with opponents batting .397 in 2007, Bacsik needs to embrace ALL recognition even if it is negative.

Oh, the Nats just cut him.

Ticket Madness for Nats Opening Day

Single game tickets went on sale for the Washington Nationals opening day in their brand new baseball stadium. According to the DCist, tickets went quickly and scalpers were fast up on Craig's List ready to flip the duckets for huge profits.

I missed out on the online Internet waiting room fun as I am a part shareholder in 2 season tickets Our seats are in left field, one section to the left of the bullpen and 4 rows up on the aisle for quick beer/bathroom runs. I am just pumped for the season and to watch a decent team in a real ballpark.

Check out this sarcastic Craig's list ad, which mocks the clueless people looking for face value seats to Opening Day.

HELP ME...I need great seats to the best game of the season at face value because....

I am a true (ONE GAME) fan, and therefore only want great tickets to the best game of the season. I will not go to see the Nationals just to see the Nationals.

I will only pay face value, because it is face value...which I believe is
___ NOT the price of an average seat to an average game
___ NOT dependent on the game
___ NOT the bonus for being a season ticket holder
___ NOT the reward for also paying face value to NINE Marlins games each year
___ NOT any different for FRONT ROW or 25th Row.
