Steve Jobs must have been reading Mac Gs World. Since the release of the Iphones 2 months ago, I swore not to get one for 2 reasons. One was ATT Service sucks balls and 600 bones was WAY too much money to shell out for a phone, especially after paying the hostage charges to get out of your Bullshit Wireless contracts.
Apple sort of solved this problem yesterday by slashing their Iphone prices by 200 dollars across the board and releasing a brand new product called, The IPod Touch.
The Touch is basically the same thing as the IPhone, with no calling capability. The Touch would allow me the luxury to surf the web, listen to music, check out my photos and watch different types of shows. And I would not have to give up my current cell phone plan. BRILLIANT!
The Ipod Touch will retail for $299 for a 8GB and $399 for 16 GB.
The only negatives so far will being able to locate a WiFi networks. However, Touch owners will be able to use the WiFi systems of Starbucks free of charge. You will not be able to use firefox as your web browser and will be stuck with Apple's Safari.
Also, Apple unveiled an updated version of the Ipod Nano that has a new screen.
The 4GB version will come in silver, the 8GB will come in all the colors. The 4GB will be priced at just $149. The 8GB version will be just $199.
Unfortunately the screen is not touch screen and you will still have to use the wheel to operate the Nano.
The Ipod Shuffle has added red to its choices of color and you can buy the 1Gb model for $79.
The Classic Ipod can be bought at $250 for 80GB model and $350 for the 160GB.
Obviously, Apple is gearing up to dominate another holiday season.
I will purchase one if not several of these products. I just hope they hold up better than my Ipod mini which is toast after less than 2 years or my buddy's Ipod 60Gb original which no longer works after having for 10 months.
Or I just might say screw Apple and wait for Google's GPhone to come out this winter.

Zelda, King Fu or Excitebike anyone?
I am still not getting an Iphone until I can pick out my own cell phone service. ATT&T ruined my life and held me hostage into their shitty service for years. I will never EVER go back to them.
There are signs that an Iphone Nano could be released at some point with a price tag around $300 and it would work on multiple wireless carriers.
The Iphone is super cool and a very sleek, revolutionary hand held device. I was sent this video last week. Check it Out. I could still dominate in Contra and Mike Tyson's Punchout. What original Nintendo games do you miss?

"Honey, I got Matsui"

Mac G Slim Shady is back from vacation and ready to return to blog DOMINATION. My topic lists cover more than 3 pages so the material should be rapid fire fresh and obviously, SWEET! It looks like Mac G did not miss much over the past 10 days.
Dr. Evil Dick Cheney is still running the country, a prick and above the law. Congress wants to know more about the Administration's secret spying on citizens program and has delivered subpoenas to the White House. The Immigration Bill died in the Senate, along with any hope of a final legislative victory for our lame duck president. All interests groups from all sides were against this Immigration reform bill so Mac G concluded that it must have been good for America.
Republican Dick Lugar came out against GW's Iraq policy after just recently voting consistently over and over for it. Colbert summed up his new found political "courageous waiting" quite brilliantly. The Sports World was so slow that a Pro Wrestler's murder/suicide became an opportunity for the media to slander wrestling and opine about steroids.
A Cubs fan went after a reliever and was rocked in an awesome 2 point take down by Cubs security. The "drunk" has been banned from Wrigley for life. Tank Johnson was cut for being pulled over, blowing under the legal limit.
Apple released their Iphone at 6pm on a Friday night. Apple Dorks and Ebay profiteers lined up for days to get one. Mac G loves the new look of the IPhone and has heard personal positive reviews.
Mac G thinks 500-600 bucks is WAAAY too much to spend on a phone and if the only way to get one is to sign up for AT&T service. No Thank You. AT&T wireless service was awful and Cingluar was constantly searching for their customers with the same success rate that a whore looks for a church or the US finds WMDs. So merging 2 crappy wireless companies into one is suppose to make them better? No Way.
The Blog Post title quote is from Knocked Up, a very stupid and hilarious movie. The crowning scene still makes me want to vomit. Mac G's headed over lunch to CVS to buy condoms. The movie could be summed up by this line: Do not Drink and BONE!
Cheney
Dicks a Prick
King Dick and George
Congressional Subpoenas
Immigation Bill Died
Colbert on Lugar
Defending Pro Wrestling
Cubs Fan Attacks
Cubs Fan Gets Rocked
Tank Drinks
IPhone Lines

New Apple Iphone Looks PIMP!!!
Too bad Cingular/ATT has awful cell phone service or I would be getting one of these IPhones. I LOVE the touch screen capability. I hope the Iphone makes other cell phone companies up their design/services. Europe absolutely crushes USA in vast better technology and service for the hijacked amount that American's are forced to pay every month. In Europe, there is no 2 year locked in BS contracts. Your payment is based on the "Go Phone" model. Money is added to your phone as minutes are used. Their text message plans are unlimited, no extra charges for using your phone during the made up "peak' hours invented by cell phone companies, and users are never charged 40 cents a minute for going over their allotted monthly minutes.
Did I mention their phones are much sleeker/cooler. I could go on and on for the need of true regulation of the wireless industry. As cell phone and wireless internet usage has exploded over the past 5-10 years, the wireless industry has remained virtually unscathed by Congressional regulation, which would benefit consumers over the wireless companies. The main reason is one acronym: CTIA. Cellular Telecommunication and Internet Association. The Wireless Industry's Organization and Political Action Committee(PAC).
CTIA rivals only the Pharmaceutical Industry's PAC, PhRMA on Capitol Hill in political influence. And the drug companies NEVER lose a legislative battle. 60 Minutes had a recent segment on PhRMA's tremendous influence/writing of the horrible drug bill.
CTIA throws the money around to both parties. I am hopeful that the current Democratic Congress will finally originate some policies beneficial towards cell phone users. Of course, I highly doubt it.
