Oh My God, Do You Feel the Storm of Rainbows?

This video is actually real and not a parody. The lightning bolts are my favorite part.

Thank God the overwhelming majority of the younger generation understands that gay people just want equal civil rights and the state to recognize their loving relationships like it does to straight couples. Traditional marriages will never be under "attack," nor will any of our "rights."

This has nothing to do with church sponsored religion at all. When did Jesus tell other humans to discriminate against each other? I must have missed that part in Sunday school while my mind was focusing on whether or not Jimmy the Greek's Sunday NFL picks were reliable. (My gambling addiction started at a real young age.)

Matt Yglesias highlights some ridiculous logic parts of the video.

We not only don’t have Jim Crow anymore, but we teach people that racism is wrong. This is, it’s true, a big imposition on racists. And people who don’t like gay people can be legitimately concerned that the spread of gay equality will create an environment in which their children are less likely to share their own prejudices.

On the other hand, that’s all pretty tautological. But what’s the deal with the woman who says “I’m a California doctor forced to choose between my faith and my job”? What is it she wants to do? Does her faith prohibit her from giving medical care to gays and lesbians? That sounds like a pretty sick faith. And a clear violation of existing medical ethics anyway.

Kumar Goes to the White House

There might still be hope for me in politics after all.

The White House has hired actor Kal Penn as a liaison between President Barack Obama's administration and Asian constituents. White House spokesman Shin Inouye said Tuesday that the actor who had a recurring role on Fox's TV show "House" and has starred in several movies would join the staff as an associate director in the Office of Public Liaison.

His role will be to connect Obama with the Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities, as well as arts groups.

Penn starred as Kumar in the movie, "Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay." His "House" character committed suicide in Monday's episode.

Penn backed Obama during the campaign.

Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle was the original dope pop culture stoner movie, not the Guantanamo Bay sequel. Suicide seems to be a harsh outcome for his character on House and Penn was pretty money in Van Wilder flicks too.

On a related side note, I recently watched American Pie and Harold (John Cho) was the one who first said the term MILF while describing Stiffler's mom. The word has never left our lexicon and most likely never will. There needs to be some recognition of people who first ignite such words into pop culture prominence.

I would make some lame weed joke but I do not to ruin my renewed hope for a white house gig.

Oh, I could not resist the clips.

Kumar loves his ganja.

This could be the best mocking of the highly ineffective anti drug commercials.

I will apologize now because this song will stuck in your head all day after viewing.

My New Favorite Congressman

From Colbert Nation website: Evil Congressman Dan Maffei tells Stephen why he loves cocaine and the company of prostitutes.
I love the shot gunning beers part and Maffei had a good sense of humor for a trekkie.
